La caméra AW-HE42 est conçue pour obtenir d’excellents résultats dans une gamme d’applications exigeant une vidéo HD de haute qualité, comme les conférences vidéo, l’enregistrement d’événements, la scénographie, l’apprentissage à distance et les lieux de culte. Pour la première fois, la gamme AW-HE42 prend en charge des sorties 3G-SDI, HDMI et IP en simultané, ce qui la rend totalement polyvalente pour de nombreux événements. Pour les vidéos professionnelles et la diffusion, une fonction GENLOCK a été ajoutée à des fins de synchronisation.

En plus du zoom optique 20x, l’AW-HE42 possède un zoom intelligent jusqu’à 30x permettant de capturer de gros plans nets même dans de grands amphithéâtres ou salles de conférence. La HE42 comprend également un grand angle de 65,1 degrés, qui permet de capturer l’action dans des sites de toutes tailles.

L’AW-HE42 comprend de nombreuses fonctionnalités innovantes standard conçues pour offrir davantage de possibilités aux utilisateurs de systèmes vidéo professionnels. En plus de la fonction Panasonic DRS (Dynamic Range Stretch) et de la réduction perfectionnée du bruit numérique (DNR), le mode HDR (High Dynamic Range) permet la production de vidéos de très bonne qualité même dans des conditions extrêmes de contraste et d’exposition à la lumière en rendant notamment possible la correction des zones surexposées et des ombres.
